Tina is a highly experienced and compassionate advocate counsellor, known for her unwavering commitment to protecting vulnerable people. With over two decades of frontline experience in policing and child protection, Tina brings powerful lived expertise to her role. She works directly with individuals who have experienced abuse, offering trauma-informed support, guidance and a safe space to speak.

As the founder of See the Signs, Tina not only delivers educational workshops nationwide but also provides one-on-one support for those navigating the aftermath of trauma, disclosure or abuse. Her strength lies in her ability to truly listen, validate experiences and empower individuals to reclaim their voice.

Whether helping a vulnerable person who has been exploited, guiding a parent or family through a difficult disclosure or supporting professionals unsure how to respond, Tina combines deep knowledge with empathy and practical tools to ensure safety, healing and hope.

Rape Prevention Education (RPE) is a non-profit organisation working to eliminate sexual violence and abuse. RPE supports survivors of sexual violence and abuse, their whanau/friends, and professionals supporting them through a telephone crisis information and referral line and informative website.

Victim Support

Victim Support is a nationwide, 24/7 community support organisation providing practical and emotional support to adults and families affected by crime, trauma or bereaved by suicide. They provide support, guidance, and help to navigate the justice system. Support is tailored to meet the needs of the person affected, is independent, confidential and free.

Netsafe

Netsafe is an independent, non-profit New Zealand organisation focused on online safety. They help people stay safe online by providing online safety education, advice and support.

Netsafe was appointed as the approved agency to receive, assess, and investigate complaints of harm caused by digital communications under the Harmful Digital Communications Act in 2015.

Their free service is available to all New Zealand internet users experiencing online harassment; offering help and advice to resolve complaints.

SAFE Network

SAFE is a charitable trust providing specialist services for concerning and harmful sexual behaviour towards or involving children and minors. They provide therapeutic, prevention and education services throughout the upper North Island primarily in Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, and Whangarei.

The SAFE team comprises of clinical psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, and family therapists working together to create positive outcomes for the person in-service, their family and friends, and the wider community.
